questions I have
I have no doubt that I will continue to question everything.

If someone were to come up to me and ask me my opinion on anything today I would probably just fumble around for an answer and probably come off looking like an idiot. Haiti has this way of making you question everything, understand so much less, and at the same time, be so thankful that God is God and there is redemption for this broken world.
We drove past tents yesterday to go to have an afternoon at the beach. People living in tents for 2 years now and we are driving in a car to sit at the beach for a day of relaxing. How is that fair?
I don’t know. These are questions I have.
Why did I get so lucky to be born in the USA and who am I to complain one bit that I feel a little lonely or don’t know where to buy what here? Isn’t it totally selfish of me to sit in this country and ever complain at all when people just down the street live in a tent?
I don’t know. These are questions I have.
I read people’s statuses saying they are so blessed because this and that happened and I question if God is really a God who blesses some and not others. Is finding the perfect shirt on sale or building your dream house really God blessing you? Or is it us trying to make an excuse for our materialistic nature? And if it is God really blessing you with those possessions, how do we rectify that with those that I meet here that are amazing people worthy of so much but having so little? God doesn’t love them any less.
I don’t know. These are questions I have.
I have no doubt that I will continue to question everything, understand less and pray that I continue to be thankful that God is God and there is redemption for this broken world. And maybe that is the point of all this. I will probably never have the answers and maybe God wants us to have these questions because the only true answer lies in Him.
